Jades First Cheer Parade !!!

Saturday the 1st of October was Jades first cheer parade. There was great excitement in the family to get her all dressed up in her new cheer uniform so she could go off to join some friends in the parade while her family cheered and watched from the sidelines.

The parade was pretty lame, small town parade but the girls had a ball.



She is so excited the uniform is blue, she says it is the best color for her eyes :-) and she is right of course.

The Start Of Fall ...

Just put out a few things for Fall and Halloween, didn't put lights up this year, passing on that this time around. Wish I had bought more of those hanging things for the trees but I bought them the end of the season last year so nope ... can't just go get more :-(





Need to buy bigger ones like this so it looks like people sitting in those chairs, maybe at closeout this year :-)

Amber has the most amazing olive skin, she is going to be so blessed having that skin, Jade is so fair but tans so well thank God, Dave of course is almost allergic to the sun, he has two colors, lobster red and white so am so very thankful my girls take after me a little more in this department.

Anyway, don't like posting nude pics but had to show you just how brown she was and this was after not being at the pool for quite a while so she was darker, and YES she did have factor 50 on all the time, I promise !!!

Oh don't mind the crazy hair, that's how it looks every morning before she baths.

Ambers First Day Of Preschool.

This was Ambers first day of preschool. She is only going to go two mornings a week, the two mornings I don't work, to give me a break which has been a joke so far, I have been so overwhelmed at work that I have used these two days to play catch up at home or to do prep for the next work day, hopefully though in time it will get better.



She was wearing a Dora outfit that she picked herself, all into Dora now which is way better than being into Spongebob with her sister :-(

The first day was so hard to drop her off, she is so used to the classroom environment where I work that I knew she would be fine but the other kids in the class, there was so much crying and Amber is a sympathetic crier which had me worried but she whimpered a minute or two after I left and she was fine, my kids thank God have always been so well adjusted and easy :-) Three weeks down the line we weren't allowed to walk them in anymore and we had to do the carpool drop off, now Amber had never experienced this before and it didn't go well, I eventually dropped her off and drove away in tears myself but after she knew I would come back and get her, the second day and so on went well ... again thank God for my easy going kids. Love you baby girls.

Dave's Birthday.

Shame usually we go away for his birthday weekend but with Jades cheer now, there really isn't much time for us to take a break anytime :-( guess that comes with commitment to sport right. Anyways so dinner and cake was pretty much the birthday for this year.

First Day Of 3rd Grade.

I know I said she doesn't wear dresses to school but it's the first day ... some casual skirts may work but with my rough child that wants to be on the field playing soccer ever day, got to dress her better than this.

Teacher Orientation Day

Just some pics of the girls on the day before Jade started school this year, Jade wanted to dress up to go meet her new teacher. She doesn't wear dresses to school or anything else other than sneakers so it's a treat to dress up pretty for her teacher to see her look just a little different :-)

Oh my gosh she just looks so grown up here, not my little 8 year old at all.

Her hair got really blond this Summer ... thankfully it stayed in good shape so we didn't have to cut too much off it at the end of Summer.



Gosh with all the poses, what have I turned my girls into ? They both love the camera, only problem is that sometime the smiles aren't natural at all, just all a put on to get it over and done with ... these thankfully were not too bad.

What's so funny is she was watching Jade pose for all her pics and now she was doing all these movements for me to take pics of here ... I just about killed myself laughing, if you think Jade is growing up fast, it's nothing compared to Amber !!!

The Canadian Millers Came To Visit !!!

Well I am now at the update where the Millers came to visit, Leanda my childhood friend that reconnected with me on Facebook last year which came to visit me in February drove down with her wonderful family, Elliot her hubby and her kids Ethan which is 12 and Jadyn which is 8. Still cannot believe she and I had babies the same year, both girls and we called them Jade and Jadyn, amazing !!!

Anyway Elliot is supposed to be sending me some pics that he took of the kids over the week they were here, he is one very busy guy, never in my life come across a guy as organized and together as he is :-) hope he is reading this, what are the chances right ??? Anyways, him and the kids did a lot of touristy type stuff and my Jade must have thought she was in Heaven coz she tagged along everywhere. Leanda and I did as much as we could but Amber had to nap, I didn't want another 'Seaworld' experience so Amber had to nap but we did as much as we could and I hope they had fun. What was a super treat for me of course was we ate out so much which gave me a huge break, little Ethan has a peanut allergy so it was just easier to eat out all the time. Funny how it awakened me to the whole peanut allergy thing and now both my kids are in peanut free classes at school !!!

David was in New York the entire week which was sad coz he didn't get to spend any time with them and it made it a little harder on me as far as playing host and all but we made do ... and were excited for Friday coz Dave would be flying home and would have Amber for the weekend while Jade and I went to Myrtle Beach with the Millers, what another nice treat and something cool for Jade and I to do alone.

Anyway so our good friends Deon and Estelle watched Amber Friday during the day while we went off to Myrtle and then I got a call from Dave just about when he was supposed to fly out of New York saying they have been grounded, this is the company jet I am talking about, there was a storm coming and they didn't expect to get out till late and that was if they took off at all.

This had me frantic, now I was worried that Amber might have to sleepover somewhere she had not slept before and golly I don't even think I had enough diapers in her bag for her to overnight somewhere, not to mention the inconvenience to Deon and Estelle and the fact that they were going out of town the next morning for the weekend. Then to crown it all as the evening went on, Dave said the pilot was nearing his cut off time for flying and now I had to worry about that too ... I really was concerned about it all and here I was at this beautiful beach but not to happy about it at all.

Anyway thank God they took off around 8 ish so even though Dave got home late, he was able to go get Amber and I could finally breath and enjoy the remainder of my little vacation, but really did I have to have all this stress !!!

Anyway we had a great time at the beach, did and saw as much as we could and Jade had a ball out on her boogie board, not as much fun as she had in Florida but still.

I hope the Miller Family had a good time and I cannot wait till they come visit again and hopefully then we won't be tied down with Amber and we can do more ... Elliot I will be more prepared for you next time (hehehe) !!!
