Easter Saturday

Well today is Easter Saturday and off we went to our usual Easter Egg hunt at the park close to our house. We have had really hot Easters and last year it was a really cold Easter but today the weather was perfects, thank heavens. We got up early, got done and then drove to the YMCA close to our house, parked there and caught the shuttle bus to the park, this has worked really well for the past couple of years, the first year we walked so far from our parking spot in the park and it was such a hot day that when they brought in the shuttle service, we grabbed that option, also the bus ride just adds to the fun.

The event started at 10am and we were dropped off by our shuttle just before 10am so it worked out well for us. Knowing how busy the place got later in the day our first stop was pictures with the Easter Bunny :-)

After that we got in as many rides as we could before the first Easter Egg Hunt, normally the first hunt is at 12 and the place is packed by then but this year they had a 10h30 hunt too which worked out well for us. Jade got in a good couple of rides before then which was good too because after the hunt, the lines began getting long.

The egg hunt went off like normal, only I think as the years go on, the parents get more competitive (hehehe) but it's fun for the kids. Jade got lots of candy as you can see but thankfully the kind natured child that we have, she shared it all with all her friends in the road so at least that is one lot of candy gone ... now we just have to deal with tomorrows candy ...

She also managed to get her face painted which she loves, only she had a bunch of pretty pics to choose from and yet she chose the rose, very weird, especially when there were butterflies and ladybugs to chose from but it looked cute anyway.

After the hunt the lines were long for the rides but we took this last one since she had not been on it and as it turns out the two little girls in the pic with her, their mom works with me at Church At Charlotte and the kids know each other, so that was neat.

Anyway tomorrow is Easter Sunday so more eggs, more hunting, more cooking and good food so a lot for us all to look forward to, hopefully it will be a quiet day though, the weathers been great and the kids have been out most of the day so that's been nice for us.

So I am sure I will post more pics tomorrow, Happy Easter y'all.
