3rd October - Trip To Corn Maze

Wow, I can't believe it has been over a month since I last updated my site, sorry guys but I have not only been so busy but really just have been unmotivated lately and now look, I have so much to update and am not sure if I have enough time but let's see how much I can get done before Amber wakes up ... hold thumbs !!!

I am going to try and do this in order, on the 3rd Jade and I went with a group of people from our neighborhood to a corn maze about 45 minutes from our house, it's apparently one of the biggest on the East coast but really to me it didn't seem that big ... or maybe it was !!!

When we got there I realized this was the same maze that we had been to a couple of time when Jade was in preschool.

Before it got dark, Jade and our neighbors and their kids Vincent and Gabriel took the walk through the maze. We thought we would get through it no problem but as well organized as it was we really did get lost a bunch of times, eventually we got worried as it was getting dark and our flashlights were in our bags by the bonfire so we asked one of the maze monitors to whizz us through the maze but kinda like the kids were still participating in helping lead the way which he did, it was pretty cool but yeah we would have never gotten through there with as much daylight as we had left so thank Heavens for the maze monitor.

Vincent our neighbor, one of the many boys that apparently Jade wants to marry (hehehe) !!!

I am sure you have seen many pics of this in the past but still even though she was so much older, she had such fun in here, but golly I had corn coming out of clothing in my washing machine for ever !!!

I need to go back and find the old pics of this that I have ... it looks like she is standing on tippy toes but she really wasn't she has gotten so tall !!!

Playing checkers with the boys.

Then the greatest excitement other than a goat that gave birth that morning and seeing the tiny babies, was the bonfire where we all roasted smores, we really had a good time and I really hope they make this a yearly tradition. I met so many new neighbors and really it was just a nice evening and Jade had such fun with all the kids, the only thing which was sad was that Dave was at home with Amber, ok I know my hubby is not a social butterfly but still it would have been nice for him to be there but for now, at least Jade and I had some specially mommy and me time :-)

More to come ...
