Christmas Eve 2010 ...

STILL HOPING THAT YOU ARE SCROLLING FROM THE BOTTOM UP SO THIS ALL MAKES SENSE :-)

Jade had two of her friends over on Friday afternoon so I decided to do our Christmas Eve of baking cookies for Santa with all of them, I am glad I decided to do that as the girls had great fun, unfortunately they couldn't completely finish as Dave and Jade were going to Mass but anyway for the most part they had fun.

This is Maddie and Erin with Jade, just in case you still did not recognize her with the hair (hehehe) !!! Or you weren't scrolling from the bottom up.

Here they were rolling dough and getting ready to cut their shapes out, next year I am buying ready made shapes and letting the kids just frost them, that would be so much easier, a little less fun but so much easier.

Their hard work in the oven, only they looked cool here but they pretty much all smooshed together but oh well they could still frost them but you kinda had to use your imagination when it came to the shapes (hehehe) !!!

Then off to Mass they rushed, they got to St Matthews too late, it was full so they had to rush to the Catholic School which was also full but they managed to get in there, so glad Amber was napping and we didn't have to rush out with them.

Still trying to figure out the lighting on this new camera ... anyway Jade begged me to leave her now somewhat curly hair just like that for the night, I was not happy with it but went with it. Here we were ready to go to one of our neighbors for a Christmas Eve party. We had a great evening with all our neighbors and thanks to Anne and Joe (Erins parents) for having us all over and putting on such a great spread to eat.







We were home earlish, Dave brought Amber home at 9pm although she was going strong but we figured it would be an early morning. Jade and I stayed another hour and then came home, sorted out Santas cookies and to bed she went. Of course we had to stay up really late to wait till she was asleep to put all the presents out, sadly I am thinking this is her last year of believing in Santa, I think she might not even believed this year but she wasn't 100% sure and I said as long as you believe you get gifts from him, so we will see what next year brings. There are way too many kids her age that don't believe so there's not much hope :-( Another sign that she is just growing up so fast right ?

By now the hair was really just messy but she was happy and that is all that mattered, not great hair for Christmas morning pics but I think that's more my worry than hers.

Thursday night and Christmas Eve morning !!!

REMEMBER TO SCROLL DOWN, I HOPE YOU ARE ACTUALLY SCROLLING FROM THE BOTTOM UP AS THAT WOULD MAKE MORE SENSE !!!

Ok so Jade has been nagging me for the longest time to curl her hair so that she would have curly hair like her sister !!! I have been avoiding it as I have no clue how to curl hair, deal with curlers or any of that ... mom where are you when I need you, no answer needed ok (hehehe) :-( Anyway so the other day I was in the Dollar Store and they had these curlers and I thought oh well she is on Winters Break now, if any this would be a fun thing for us to do so ... I bought them and decided to try them on Thursday night.



So how did I do mom, no criticism needed ok !!!



These two Jade took of Amber and I while we were messing around, end of day so we are both not looking our best but oh well right ?





Ok so Jade woke up the next morning and only one curler had come out, I was totally surprised actually and didn't think she would really sleep on them, I mean how comfortable could that be. Anyway she wanted them out right after breakfast, she was excited to see what she looked like, of course I thought I was going to have to wash her hair right away because it would be a total mess.

So I was very surprised that it didn't come out half bad, ok so when I first took it out, oh golly she looked like Annie, you know who I mean right ? And thank Heavens when I put my fingers through it it loosened up a bit (hehehe) but still from close it looked like a birds nest but she totally loved it !!! So I left it but knew we were going to a party later she probably needed to wash it anyway so it was all good.



Amber was not sure about all this, it was like what did you do with my sister or is this my sister and if so what does she have on her head ? She couldn't stop staring at Jade.



I love how she looks at Jade :-)



Such admiration :-)



And most times the love is returned :-)



I probably should not have curled her fringe but other than her fringe being very long right now and needing a drastic cut, it was a nice change too.





Only two more days to go, will I make it today ... not so sure, been at it for like 6 hours now :-( So please enjoy it.

Breakfast with Santa 2010 - 18th December.

DON'T FORGET TO SCROLL DOWN ...

The 18th of December was this years Breakfast with Santa at our neighborhood clubhouse. While I was getting ready Dave took some really cute pics of the girls in front of our tree.

Amber hates to be held like this by Jade so although she is not smiling this is a good pic :-)



Here the girls are writing their wish list so they could give it to Santa at breakfast, how cute right ?











Sadly this year Amber wanted absolutely nothing to do with Santa !!! I remember this with Jade way back when but at least we did not have to stand in a long line like we did in our old neighborhood only for her to scream her lungs out once we got to the front. She just wouldn't let go of Dave and he couldn't even skoot over to get in the pic :-( oh well next year right ?



Not even a decent pic of Jade with Santa this year, golly what's up with us all this year ?



At the clubhouse they had tables set up for the kids to have breakfast at and to write their lists to Santa if they didn't do one at home, they also had a mailbox you could mail your letter to Santa in, very cute. Anyway Amber likes to be where all the big kids are so she hopped right up here and started writing her list and eating a doughnut.



There is also this little train ride every year, it was cold out this year though so the kids were given blankets to put over them to keep warm. Jade sat next to our neighbor Vincent.



Of course Amber wanted nothing to do with this ride this year either, maybe if dad had gone on it with her but he didn't want to.



Jade was tickled pink when the ride came to an end that Santa hopped on behind her, apparently he was hot inside and needed to cool off :-)



Obviously her list was long coz she went right on in again and started writing again (hehehe).



Ok another update done ... golly how many more to go ???

WHAT AM I GOING TO SAY ... DON'T FORGET TO SCROLL DOWN !!!

Yet another Christmas dress ... where did these all come from. I bought one or two and got given some and then when I unpacked all Jades stuff well you see what happened and let me tell you, you are only seeing a few of them, yep not all of them.







Then this the little coat that Tiana bought her when she visited earlier this year and she has worn it with all her Christmas outfits, it has been just perfect :-)

DON'T FORGET TO SCROLL DOWN ... THIS SEEMS NEVER ENDING I KNOW !!! I AM THE ONE DOING IT !!!

Wow this was a rough week and I am glad I managed to still take some pretty pictures. Just to give you a run down of my week. It was mainly the evenings since I had finished most of my morning work at the church but anyway, Monday night was Jades last gymnastics evening, Tuesday night was Jades last Faith Formation class but sadly she and my neighbors two kids which I gave a ride to that night never made it to class because we got into a car wreck. That God everyone was ok, we were all very shaken up because we were hit hard but thankfully I did not hit the car in front of me so it was just the two of us involved. Well it turns out and I cannot believe it because I was like 20 minutes from home but the guy that hit me lives in my neighborhood, I don't really know him but still, anyway him and Dave are working out the insurance thankfully but at some point I am going to be without my car for a week which is crazy, I am hoping I get a rental for sure !!!

Then Wednesday night I work from 5pm and got home at 10h30, Thursday I worked from 6pm and got home at 10h30, Friday I worked from 5h30 and got home at 10pm oh and I forgot I actually worked Friday morning too. Then Saturday was breakfast with Santa then I shopped all day and went straight to work and got home at 10pm and Sunday ... day of rest, no way ... worked that night too and got home at 10pm and well I feel like I still have not completely recovered as we lept straight into Jades Winter Break and Christmas ... so when do I get a break ??? I forgot my mom told me that moms never get a break and I thought she was kidding !!!

Anyway here are 5 more cute pics of Amber in yet another Christmas outfit. Another short sleeved one that I wish was long.

REMEMBER SCROLL DOWN ... GETTING TIRED OF THIS YET ???

Dave keeps saying that she is not a Kropman child ... as if she should be insulted to be more my side of the family :-( poor thing but in these pics I do think she looks like some of my baby pics, so hey, maybe she does look a little more like me and it's not only the hair and eye color. Either way she is such a happy little girl and such a cutie pie who cares who she looks like right ?







Although her hair is still curly some day the curls fall out really quickly so who knows if she is going to hang onto some wave :-)
