Ambers 2nd Birthday ... if you can believe it !!!

Well I cannot believe Amber is finally 2, I say finally and not already because the baby and toddler phase is not my favorite phase but thankfully she is cute as can be most of the time that makes it a little easier :-)

I worked Friday morning so decided to do a party in her class, all the kids had hats but were not too keen on them but anyway, she still had a fun time and everyone enjoyed the cake.



Later after naptime and when Jade arrived home from school we went off to that yucky ChuckECheese so the kids could have a fun time, my friend Tina and Tyler and Layla joined us. Funny that this picture below, I have the same one of Jade on her second birthday.



Awe, she was having such a fun time :-)



Jade was not thrilled that I told her it was her sisters birthday and that she needed to drive this ride :-)



Ok so I think she has her dads dare devid genes don't you ?



Climbing up in that tube thingi with Jade, she only did that once this time around, she didn't seem too keen to stay up there, I don't blame her it must be hot in there.



Late night cake and candles at home, Jade said we couldn't have cake till we were all together and well that landed up being after 8 at night so ... I think my cousin Karen would be disgusted we all waited that long since their tradition is cake for breakfast on your birthday :-)

Also we had been practising for a long time and I thought this year Amber would blow out her own candles but after a few tries I think we were all desperate for cake so it was a team effort, better luck next year Amber :-)



Now I want to thank everyone that called, emailed, texted, sent cards and gifts, what a lucky little girl I have, she was really spoilt, thank you all for loving her like you do. We took pictures of the unwrapping as well but I have so many pictures I need to upload tonight that I am sorry I am only adding so few.

Just adding a few pictures from Easter morning. Amber really did well, only she wasn't too happy to share with her sister, all I heard was MINE, MINE, MINE all the time which obviously didn't go down well with Jade :-(

As soon as Amber wakes up we are off to a neighbor for a big Easter lunch, gosh I love this neighborhood, everytime there is a celebration of any kind we all get together at someones house and everyone brings food to share, enough of course to feed a nation !!! Anyway it's always just such a sociable event, everyone gets on so well and it's such fun for the kids, today is really warm so other than the egg painting which they did last year, they will also be having water fights with water balloons and water guns and sack races :-) Did I say I love this neighborhood !!!

Anyway, Happy Easter Everyone !!!

So Mad I Lost My Map Counter :-(

Can't believe I have lost my map counter with all my views from all over the world, hate it when that happens, so now I have a new one on there which means I am starting from scratch :-(

Spring Fling ... not so good this year !!!

This years Spring Fling had a sad turnout, we had had a storm the night before and I think the weather just had people not bother to come out and well the organizing was not what it normally is either :-( but the kids had fun and I guess that is all that matters right, hopefully next year it is back to normal.

Jade not thrilled that I told her to slow down and leave some eggs for the other kids !

Loving all the hand me downs from Tiana all over again although they have had their day now, but from far they still look cute :-) Well thinking about it, they most be at least 12 years old already right ???



This little one came up to Amber and pointed in her face and said 'baby' and well Amber stood there with shock and horror on her face like ... I am no baby. She is one of the new neighbors so I think they will be good friends one day :-) she is about 7 months younger than Amber though.



Helping daddy later the afternoon washing his car, it was hot out, what a nice afternoon :-)

Jades Faith Formation Banner !!!

This banner was made by Jade and I ... yep my scrapbooking paid off (hehehe), anyway each kid that will be receiving their First Holy Communion the beginning of May, that being 800 odd kids if you can believe it, well they had to make a banner that will be hung at the church so everyone can see the kids involved, they could decorate it any way they wanted but it had to be about Holy Communion :-) so this was our effort.

Checking Out My New Bed For Our Summer Vacation.

The last time we went on vacation Amber was already almost too big for her Pack-N-Play sleep bed so we had to make another plan, so I bought this play pen which is similar just a bit bigger and she totally loved it, in fact didn't want to get out of it so ... we will see, might have to do a trial run before we actually go on vacation :-)



Can you tell how happy she is ... not that she isn't happy most of the time, that is when she is not throwing a temper tantrum, yep we are in midst of all that :-(

Some More Spring Weather ...

This is our little stream in our backyard that is often dry in Summer ... after a few minutes of hard rain we just had. Still trying to work out how to use this fancy camera, need to manually focus for pics like these, sorry.



Wow that was some hail we just experienced, probably haven't experienced hail that large since the year we arrived here, thank Heavens both our cars were in the garage.



Can you imagine being out for a walk and being hit by a gazillion of these ... and it was a good night for a walk too.





It looks like it snowed on our little island out front but that is all hail, it was very pretty and the girls loved collecting the hail afterward and seeing who could throw further, Jade had to be careful coz if she stood in front of Amber well ... Ambers aim was better than Jade wanted it to be (hehehe), got whacked nicely in the head one time :-)

Oh well just thought I would add that quickly !!!

THE COLORS OF WAXHAW !!!

BEFORE I START REMEMBER WHEN YOU CLICK ON A PICTURE IT SHOULD OPEN IT BIGGER THAN WHAT IT IS ON MY BLOG BUT DEPENDING ON WHAT PROGRAM YOU ARE USING ON YOUR MACHINE IF YOU CLICK THE BIGGER PICTURE IT MIGHT EVEN OPEN IT BIGGER :-) HAVE FUN.

Yeah, yeah, I know I am sooooo not a natures girl, what with all the pollen and all the bees and all but it's just so pretty here right now I wanted to show you some of it :-) So much of it is gone already but these are some I have taken over the last month or so.

This was a little tree in my neighbors garden but these trees are everywhere and huge and when the wind blows it's like it's snowing as the blossoms blow off. We don't have one in our garden though, I love this tree.

Most people here put a lot of effort into their gardens, sadly I am not one of them, as much as I would love my garden to be pretty ... I am so not a gardener and there is not hope in hell that Dave would do it.



Just another huge bush that is everywhere.



The next three are our back yard, not much but very pretty.

One of our little squirrels up our big tree out back, for those that have been here to visit, he is in the same hole that the bee hive is in, is that just not the craziest thing ?



These next two are all over in our neighborhood as well.





Now this is amazing, but I don't know what it is but it grows like a weed or a creeper and as you drive down the roads you will see like walls of this purple flower, it's amazingly pretty but of course when I asked Dave has he see it ... he replied no (hehehe) MEN !!!



Ok so before I bore you all to death, I will stop there :-) you can be glad I don't carry the camera with me everywhere !!! But the bottom line is I am so not a natures girl but this was just so pretty to me :-)
